2016 Municipal Election Candidate Petitions
One (1) Vacancy - Two (2) year term
Three (3) Vacancies - Two (2) year term
Two (2) Vacancies - Three (3) year term
One (1) Vacancy - One (1) year term
A qualified elector of Alaska who has been a resident of the City of Valdez for a period of no less than one year may file a petition to run for public office in Valdez.
Signatures of fifty qualified electors (for Mayor petitions) or twenty-five qualified electors (for Council/School Board petitions) are required to file a nominating petition.
Nominating petitions may be picked up no earlier than 8:30 a.m. on February 16, 2016 and must be filed with the City Clerk no later than March 15, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
