Getting Involved
The City of Valdez boards and commissions offer the public a chance to become involved in different aspects of local government. The Valdez City Council is supported by five commissions and serves as the Corporation for the Valdez Museum and Historical Archive Board of Directors. The Valdez City Council also appoints members to Providence Valdez Health Advisory Committee. The mayor may create and appoint a temporary special task force for projects as needed.
Appointment Process
Appointments are made prior to the term expiration on any given board, commission or task force. The city clerk’s office will accept applications throughout the year for any board or commission.

Applications may be obtained in the city clerk’s office or in PDF format below. Please note that the universal application can be printed as a blank document for applying to any position.
