Live Video Teleconference from Honolulu, Hawaii! Inside the Vault: The Curators Series is a program that allows you to view artifacts that are currently not on display in museums, such as: Fuchida’s bible, silverware off the USS ARIZONA, and Admiral Kidd’s cup holder. Also on display are rare images from the 14th Naval District Historic Photo Collection. These photos illustrate the development of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese attack and the massive salvage operation that followed. A video showing the Arizona Memorial Museum Association’s Tom Freeman paintings will also be shown with a voice over interpretive lesson by the museum curator.

Get outside this summer and explore with HAWK: Hike Alaska's Wild Kountry! Starting May 27th pick up pick up a HAWK card at the Parks and Rec office, located in the Civic Center or at another participating establishment around town. Then hike as many of the trails listed on the card as you can- the more trails you hike the more chances you have to win! Turn you card in or log your trails online by September 3rd and you will be eligible to win! HAWK is open to ages 5 and up. Pick up your HAWK card today and get your summer adventure started.

Test your artistic talents by decorating a 4ft wooden salmon cut-out. Fish are available
at the Civic Center Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00 starting May 31st for a minimum donation of $10 each. All donations for the cut-outs will go into a pot for the winning fish.
Return your fish to the Civic Center no later than July 1st.
All entries will be displayed and available for public voting starting July 2-6.
Please stop by & vote for your favorite fish—open to all ages.
Quantities are limited to the first 25 aspiring artists.

Join an instructor led work out in the water, using the water as resistance, as well as other work out equipment for the pool. Water Aerobics offers low impact, strength, resistance, and aerobic training for a full body work out. All abilities welcome, if under 14 years old, must be accompanied by an adult.

A time for parents and their young children to interact and play in the water! The small pool is open for parents and children age 6 or younger. We bring out some of our favorite water toys just for these tots! Parents must be in the water with their children.

Get some exercise swimming laps! Lanes lines are used to separate swimmers and reduce their waves. If under 14 years old, must be accompanied by an adult and be proficient enough to swim laps.

Fun for all ages! Both pools are open, diving board is open. Deep-end is roped-off from the shallow end, making "lap swimming" difficult. Must be 8 years old or accompanied by an adult.
