The deadline for Halloween Carnival booth registration has been extended to Thursday October 25th. Your participation in the Halloween Carnival will ensure that the children of our community will have a safe, fun Halloween! You can pick up a registration form at the Parks and Rec office in the Civic Center. Pick up a registration form, fill out out and return it to the Parks and Rec office by the end of business hours on Thursday, October 25th to reserve your booth. Then, don't forget to show up to the Pre-Carnival meeting later that evening at 6:30pm in the Civic Center conference room. Contact aneyvollmer@ci.valdez.ak for more information.

This meeting is for organizations participating in the Halloween Carnival with a food or game booth. The meeting will provide guidelines for use of the HHES Gym and Cafeteria as well as details regarding set up and Park's and Recreation's Halloween Carnival policies. Make sure you send a representative from your organization to get this important information! Groups that do not attend will have $5 deducted from their booth deposit. All groups that do attend can receive a full refund! The small pool will be drained, cleaned, maintenance checked, and refilled. During this time any Open Swim activities will be in the lap pool only.

Join an instructor led work out in the water, using the water as resistance, as well as other work out equipment for the pool. Low impact strength and resistance training on Tuesday and Thursday. All abilities welcome, if under 14 years old, must be accompanied by an adult.
