REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Valdez is compiling a professional services roster of firms interested in working with the City on future studies, designs and project management. The range of services includes, but is not limited to: Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Survey, Geotechnical, Environmental, Project Management, Economic Development, Municipal Planning, etc. The City will typically contract with a single firm per project. Therefore firms that cannot cover all required disciplines may need to team with other firms for specific project solicitations.
The concept is to streamline and allow the City maximum flexibility in professional services procurement while still selecting the best team for any given project. Based on the size of the project, qualifications submitted and time available a team may be selected from qualifications on file. The preferred method for larger projects will be for a project specific request to go out by E-mail to those that respond to this solicitation.
The City of Valdez has a wide range of consulting needs. The City has over 80 facilities many in need of minor or major renovations. City owned and operated utilities and services include water, wastewater, landfill and storm water. The City owns and operates Parks and Recreation areas, Port Facilities and a Small Boat Harbor. The City is responsible for major projects at the Valdez City School District.
If your firm would like consideration for future work with the City of Valdez submit the following:
• Letter of interest listing areas of expertise and single point of contact
• Firm and individual qualifications and experience
• Rate sheet valid through 2014
Limit the total submitted package to 15 pages.
