Wednesday, July 4th, the City of Valdez will observe Independence Day Holiday. Select services and facilities will be closed for the holiday.

The following locations will be closed for the holiday: 

• City Hall: City Hall Front Office, Community Development and all other City Hall administration offices will be closed. 
• Animal Shelter will be closed. 
• Baler Facility will be closed. There will be no trash-pick. 
• Parks & Recreation and Civic Center Main Office will be closed.
• Teen Center will be closed.
• Valdez Consortium Library will be closed.
• Valdez Swimming Pool will be closed.

The following services will be open: 

• City Hall: Police & Fire will remain open.
• Harbor office will be open.
• Open for any pre-scheduled events at the Civic Center and Cinema. Check the Civic Center Cinema calendar to see if a movie is scheduled.

Regular office hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th.
